GC Therapy Hub is dedicated to enhancing the social capabilities of autistic children and young adults, aged 8 to 25 years, through specialized social skills groups. These programs are meticulously facilitated by our qualified Social Worker and our team of experienced Support Workers, ensuring a nurturing and supportive environment for all participants. Recognizing the unique needs of each individual, we also provide personalized one-to-one sessions with our Autism Consultant, Social Worker, and Support Workers. Our comprehensive approach aims to empower participants by developing their social interaction skills, building confidence, and fostering a sense of belonging within their communities. At GC Therapy Hub, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of autistic individuals, helping them to navigate social environments more effectively and confidently.


Kylie Woodhouse

Director

Kylie's journey begins with compassion, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to autistic children, teens and young adults. Her early career in the Juvenile Justice Intensive Programs unit in Blacktown, NSW, laid the foundation for her deep understanding of neurodiversity, long before her personal journey as a mother to Evelyn, an autistic child, began.

Kylie's experiences have not only enriched her professional skills but also deepened her empathy and resolve to support children facing similar challenges. As an experienced disability support practitioner, she possesses a profound insight into the complex needs of autistic children, teens and young adults. Kylie's mission extends beyond mere support; she is driven by a vision to empower every child to find their unique voice and secure their rightful place in the world.

Her story is a beacon of hope and inspiration, highlighting the transformative power of love, understanding, and professional expertise in making a tangible difference in the lives of neurodiverse children and their families.

Qualifications:

Diploma of councelling, Cert 4 in Community Nursing, Cert 3 Teacher Aide, Miami State High School Special education program teacher aide, Disability support worker, Disability Co-ordinator of Supports, specialising in Autism, Qld Blue card holder, NSW Working with children

Lais Sales

Social Worker & Program Facilitator

Lais is a registered Social Worker with a Master’s degree in Social Work and a deep passion for supporting neurodivergent young people. With professional experience in disability services and a strong focus on youth and teen support, Lais brings both clinical knowledge and a warm, person-centred approach to her work at GC Therapy Hub.

She facilitates a range of programs including the PEERS social skills development course, community access social groups, and one-on-one therapeutic sessions. Lais also leads the Finding and Keeping a Job program, helping young people build confidence and practical pathways to employment.

Lais is a neurodiversity-affirming practitioner who values inclusion, co-regulation, and authentic connection. Her strengths lie in emotional regulation, advocacy, and creating safe, supportive spaces where young people feel heard and understood.

Fluent in both English and Portuguese, Lais is known for her compassion, sense of humour, and ability to connect easily with teens. She became a social worker because she genuinely cares about helping others and making a meaningful impact in their lives.
